China-Restaurant Zhong Xin
About This Spot
China-Restaurant Zhong Xin welcomes you into a warm, unpretentious corner of Vienna’s bustling 1060 district, where familiar flavors bring a sense of comfort amid the city’s vibrant rhythm. Stepping inside, the pace feels just right — a gentle hum of conversations sharing stories over steaming bowls and plates rich with tradition. The atmosphere invites both quiet dinners and lively meals, with attentive staff weaving subtly through the space, making you feel quietly cared for.
The menu reads like a loving nod to classic Chinese home cooking with subtle, regional accents. Here, tofu and pak choi sit alongside house specialties like tender spare ribs and delicate baozi, while the occasional surprise like Chinese-style pizza adds a playful twist. Whether you’re settling in with a hearty Cantonese duck or savoring the silky texture of glutinous dumplings, each dish carries a thoughtful balance of familiar and fresh.
Most guests find a rhythm here that’s both relaxed and unforced — a spot where the food lingers pleasantly with the warmth of genuine service and the hum of shared experience. People often return, drawn not only by the food’s honest flavors but also by the welcoming atmosphere that feels steady over time, a comforting constant in a city full of change.
China-Restaurant Zhong Xin opens its doors when many other local places take a pause, making it a reliable destination for those craving something authentic any day of the week. The sincere, attentive spirit of the staff ensures that whether you come on a quiet weekday or a bustling weekend, there’s a place set for you — a small piece of home to enjoy.

We went there without a reservation and find the place quite packed. The owner managed to find us a place for two of us. The food was good but nothing extraordinary. The portions were enough for one person. The interior is quite nice and you will get a good value of your money. The good thing is the place is open on Sunday when most of the naschmarket was closed.

Totally awesome Asian restaurant with helpful staff and super quick service! Their chilly soup is excellent and basically anything from "the special menu" is worth trying. They also have "zu mitnehmen" option :)

Very tasty Chinese dumplings and spring rolls. The ramen with pork meet was good, cold tap beer goes wonderful with spicy dishes, and very friendly staff.

Big portions, I suggest to share the plates with others. Super good food, super authentic it looks like. Nice waiters and staff, patient with us first-timers. Recommended.
